Preschool
KINDERGARTEN is being added to our Mom’s Day Out Ministry beginning this fall. If your child needs a bridging class or just another year to mature or you prefer smaller teacher/student ratio class----this is for you. Your child must be 5 years old by September 30th. We are taking application now and the class number is limited--- so sign up early. Call Holly or Lauren at 965-5900 or contact Glenda at 965-2296. Children
New Christians Class... For children that have accepted Christ in the past two years but haven’t already taken this class. This class is held on Wednesdays at 6PM starting February 1st. Space is limited so see Stacy Rains if your child is interested.

Students
Cypress Tech for YOUTH will be each Sunday from 5:30-7:00 pm upstairs in the gym beginning on February 26. We will be delving into an 8 week study on PRAYER.
 
D-Now is set for March 9-11, starting at 7:00 pm Friday night, March 9 and ending after the Worship service on Sunday, March 11.  The cost is $50/person and is due no later than Sunday, March 4.

HEADS UP, YOUTH!...This year Youth Camp will be at Camp Windermere in Missouri on June 4-9, 2012. If you sign up and pay your $50 deposit by Sunday, April 1, your total cost for camp is $249/person. After April 1, camp cost goes up to $350/person. That’s right! Sign up early and you will save $101! Last day to sign up for camp is May 20.

YOUTH SPRING BREAK MISSION TRIP to New Orleans on March 25-31. Cost is $199/person if you sign up and pay your $50 deposit by Sunday, February 26. After this date, the cost goes up to $299/person. The final day to sign up is Sunday, March 4.

Senior Adults
AARP Safety Driving Course... Cypress Baptist Church will host another 4 hour safety driving course this Thursday, February 23 starting at 8:30AM.  Those who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate which will qualify you for a premium discount on your auto insurance.  Call Sherry in the church office (965-2296) to sign up.

Mobile, New Orleans, & St. Francisville Trip... Join us on a wonderful trip to Mobile, New Orleans, and St. Francisville!!  The dates are March 12-15, 2012 at a cost of $595/person due at sign up.  See Sherry in the church office and get on the list!

Church Family
Honduras Mission Trip meeting in the chapel right after worship today.  If you are interested in going to Honduras or are planning on going please come to the meeting today.  The trip to Honduras is scheduled for July 18-24, 2012. We will be building another church and doing youth music outreach.

PARENT’S NIGHT OUT for March will be Friday, March 9, from 6:30-9:30 pm. Reservations are required by February 8. Please give 24 hour notice of cancellation by calling 218-4109 so those on the waiting list may be notified. Cost: $5/child.

Teachers Needed for all areas in the Children’s Department, particularly needing men teachers. Contact Stacy a.s.a.p. for more information (965-2296). Come be a part of teaching and reaching our children for Christ every Sunday!!

For Adoptive & Foster Families... Empowered to Connect Conference is ideal for adoptive and foster parents or those considering adoption or foster care.  This is a two-day conference designed to help them better understand how to connect with children from hard places in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be.  The conference is February 17-18, 2012, at Irving Bible Church in the Dallas, Texas area.  Visit www.etcconference.org for more details and to register online.

Parent’s Night Out for Special Needs Beginning March 23rd, we will now be offering a monthly Parent’s Night Out for Special Needs children, ages 8 weeks to 9 years old and their siblings, the 4th Friday of each month.  This is separate from the established Parent’s Night Out we offer for our church.  The first one will be Friday, March 23rd, from 6:30-9:30 PM.  We are in need of volunteers that would like to help us reach out to families with special needs children.  We will need adults to help with special needs children and also their typical siblings.  Please contact Courtney Bouillon to sign up to work.  We need you to make this possible.

WOMEN OF FAITH... The Women of Faith conference will be coming to Shreveport.  It will be held at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, March 3rd, from 9AM to 5PM.  Tickets are $61 each & can be purchased at www.womenoffaith.com and are general admission.  If you purchase tickets please let Courtney Bouillon know so we can coordinate where to meet for Cypress ladies to sit together.

Computers Needed... Mom’s Day Out is in need of computers they can run educational software on to help teach the children.  If you have an extra computer that you are not using, please consider donating it to our Mom’s Day Out Ministry.
