HERE WE GROW AGAIN—ANOTHER SINGLES CLASS. Cypress a Singles class for ages 35 and older. We have a large population in this group in our area and it is growing. We want to serve and minister to you if you are in this demographic. We also want to give you a place where you can also serve and minister as well as be served. Our team of leaders for this class will be Randy and Sharon Lauterbach and Greg and Barbara Shelton. These two couples are uniquely qualified and bring to the table many experiences that have prepared them to be the leaders for this new class. Please join the “charter” group in Building D, Room 236 and be a part of something big. Building D is the two story building just north of the Worship Center and the room is upstairs on the west end of the building.
Women’s Bible Study... We’ve begun a new women’s Thursday morning Bible study series in the Chapel. It is called “Why Do You Believe That?” by Mary Jo Sharp. The study is from 9 - 11 AM, and childcare is provided. Books cost $13 each and can be purchased at the Bible study. Bring a friend and join us!

The tickets are $20 for general admission. Many of us are going to meet at Ralph & Kacoo’s for dinner at 5:00 PM before driving over to Bellaire. The tickets to the concert must be purchased at Bellaire Baptist Church. If you will see Sherry in the church office and pay her for your ticket, we will secure the tickets from Bellaire for you. Please let Sherry know if you will be joining us at Ralph & Kacoo’s for dinner.

Veterans Day Parade ...This year’s Veterans Day Parade will be Sunday, November 10, at the LA State Fair Grounds at 2:00 PM. All veterans and their families have free parking, and free admittance to the fair for the parade. The parade features 1,800 participants, including five high school bands, all JROTC units in both Caddo and Bossier, as well as lots more. After the parade, there will be a Ceremony at the Boys and Girls Club honoring 10 local veterans for their service to our nation and community.
SECOND SUNDAY Marriage Enrichment Study has been postponed until NEXT Sunday, November 17 at 6:00 PM in the FLC so that those couples who want to attend Faith at the Fair (see below) may do so. Pastor John will bring our message this month. This is a class designed to help strengthen marriages and offer encouragement to couples. If you are new to Cypress, come join us!
Faith at the Fair... TODAY from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. Our own Contemporary Worship band, led by Gregg Gober, will be one of the bands participating in this special day for families at the Louisiana State Fair and will play at 5:00 PM. The concert is free with gate admission to the fair.
Operation Christmas Child... This is a great family or Sunday School class project! See the displays in the Worship Center foyer and in back of the Family Life Center. Take a brochure for instructions and fill a shoe box (plastic ones are best) with gifts for a needy child in another country. The brochure will give you suggested gifts and things NOT to include (mostly liquid items). Bring the filled shoe box back with a label on top and place on the display table. It is also suggested to include $7 for shipping expenses. There is no need to wrap in wrapping paper. Boxes are DUE by Wednesday, November 20. We will deliver them to the pickup point. Let’s pack more boxes than we did last year and help these less fortunate children!
Family Packs... November Family Packs are in and ready to be picked up in the hall of Building D or in Kids Worship with Mrs. Stacy. Family Packs are tools to help parents train their children in the ways of the Lord and have fun while doing it! We also need empty, washed soup cans for a future family pack project. Please drop your empty, clean soup cans off to Courtney in the church office. Thank you in advance for your help!
Benton Christmas on the Square will be December 14! We will have a booth at the festival where we will have information about our church available. We need your help as we support this local event! Please sign up to volunteer at the booth by calling the church office. Contact Stacy Loe with any questions.
