Stacy Rains

             Minister to Children & Recreation

Stacy Rains is Minister to Children and Recreation.  She grew up in the Benton area with her extended family and attended Cypress Baptist Church.  After graduating from Benton High School, Stacy attended McNeese State University (MSU) in Lake Charles.  She holds a B.A. in General Studies from MSU with a minor in English.

She says the best things about what she does at Cypress Baptist Church are having the opportunity to tell children about Jesus early in their lives and coming back to serve as a leader in her home church.  "It just doesn't get any better than that," says Stacy.
 
If Stacy was not here serving at Cypress Baptist Church, she said you would most likely find her teaching or working as a struggling music artist in Nashville.  Music is truly in her soul!  
 
Favorite food: Anthing that my dad cooks on the grill
 
Favorite verse: Mathew 6:33 because God provides for those who seek his will:
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
